While we would normally be hanging with friends at a backyard BBQ, this year looks a bit different as we head into the Fourth of July. Instead, I'm putting in the work to perfect a signature cocktail you can enjoy this holiday - it both tastes good & looks festive! The best combination.
There are a few speciality items in this cocktail that you may not have on hand or on your bar cart, so before you make this delicious margarita, head to the store and pick-up the following:
A Bottle of Blue Curaçao
Coco Lopez's Cream of Coconut
Shredded Coconut Flakes
I would also recommend picking up a few cocktail American flags, if you really want to impress!

She's Patriotic
Fill a cocktail shaker with 1 oz. of Espolon Tequila (any premium tequila will work, but this is my favorite!)
Add 1 oz. of Dekuyper Cocktails Blue Curaçao
Add 1 oz. of Coco Lopez Cream of Coconut
Add 1/2 oz. of fresh lime juice
Add ice; shake vigorously
Rim your favorite glass with honey & rim with shredded coconut (the honey will help hold the coconut!)
Fill glass with fresh ice & strain margarita over new ice
Serve with a fresh sliced strawberry & tiny American flag
