EVENT DAY SPECIALIST
We are looking for a high-energy, detail-oriented, hyper-professional, polished event day specialist to join our team.
The associate will learn the ins and outs of this fast-paced industry at various events, both locally and in destination markets. You’ll assist our Creative Director and our Lead Planner on anything and everything leading up to and on event day. This can include general event setup, ceremony & reception coordination, on-site guest & client management, event strike and much more. The person we seek should be characterized by flexibility, an eagerness to learn, thick skin, extreme organization, concision, adaptability under pressure, top-notch verbal skills, and acceptance of near-constant redirection and authority.
Experience & Requirements

General knowledge of weddings & events (and hungry to learn more!)
Availability for up to 12 hour shifts on event days (8-10 hour shifts are most common)
Ability to stand for long periods of time on event days
Ability to lift 35+ pounds with ease
Weekday availability for on-site set-up
Weekend availability for event execution & rehearsal attendance
Travel flexibility for destination events
Reliable car, e-mail access & cell phone (social media savviness is a plus!)
Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
Responsibilities
Pre-Event
Depending on the scope of the event at hand, the host of tasks varies widely and changes constantly. You may be assisting in the office with building welcome bags, organizing timeline documents, alphabetizing escort cards or refilling emergency kits.
In order to meet our clients ahead of their wedding day, we do require attendance at the wedding rehearsal. There will be a required Run of Show meeting in the week leading up to the event, where we review the timeline with the internal team. While not required, we do encourage attendance at our final meetings with the client (usually about one month pre-event and/or the week before the event).
On-Site
Hustle, hustle, hustle! You'll be helping throughout install, run-of-show, and strike of our (sometimes multi-day & multi-party) events. Typically, set-up begins in the days leading up to the event (or on event day). While the days are long & physically demanding, they're also fun! You could be greeting the wedding party, bustling a gown, cleaning the bridal suite for photos, steaming linens & napkins, sewing a button, dressing tables, lighting candles, taking videos & photos for social media, or putting out fires (not literally - ha!) where they pop up!
Compensation

Pre-Event: $17.00 per hour
On-Site: $30.00 per hour
